#2My sister from Lebanon told the embassy if they could bring their sister to Cananda and they gave her the passport as a refugee.
Anyone who has a direct relative could do this.

#4Hi, they way we did it is that my uncles were in Lebanon who are Canadian Citizens. My uncle's wife, who is canadian as well, went to the embassy in lebanon, and told them they want to bring their mother and father with them. And they agreed withought hesitation.
It seems like some people are having a hard time doing this from Canada.

#5Ok, I called my aunt right now and she lives in Canada. She is trying to get her parents from Lebanon (same situation Layla is in). Here is what she told me:
"The only way to get refugee to canada, is to go the nearest country and ask for a syrian refugee. If the syrian has too much refugees, then it will give you another countries refugee.
The best way is to come to canada from a visitor visa. They have to goto Damascus to do visitor visa (which they would accept) and after they arrive in Canada and their Syrian visa expires then they can claim refugee status in canada." That is what the Canadian Government told her. It was easier for the first couple of days of war in Lebanon to get Visitor visa, but now they stopped it since it is dangerous in that side.
So to some up, Let your sister get a Canadian visa from Syria (which is so easy, the hard part is to get to Damascus). Then once she arrives in Canada, she waits for the visa to expire and then apply as refugee which the government said they will do.

#1Hi, many people have asked me where the link is exactly and how it worked for me. The link is below:
http://www.voyage.gc.ca/main/sos/rocapage-en.asp#options
Technically, I signed up the forms this morning around 12PM , and I called them around 10 PM to check the status of my grandma. And they said they will pick them up and put them in the ship in two days. That is nice.
So if you guys need help doing this procedure, please email me or add me on msn so I could help you.
Take care and good luck
