Cool! Good to give to people who don't understand all that IP stuff.

Okay so if it is binded what does that mean? Does that mean its active?

Does that mean i should be able to remote desktop onto my PC. Bcz i have been having trouble getting on to my VISTA PC from my MAC at home, even though i'm using version 3 beta of the remotedesktop connector that i downloaded from mactopia.com and which clearly states you should be able to log onto a vista pc!

If this port 3389 is binded, it means it is being used. Since Windows Vista Remote Desktop uses 3389 as its port, you cannot bind that port anymore cause it is already binded.

So if you have Windows Vista Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions, it will enable you to use the Remote Desktop feature that Microsoft gave. If you don't have those version, you cannot use Remote Desktop, you have to use alternate versions such as Tight VNC (which is a good open source app).

But if you have Windows Vista Ultimate, Business, Entreprise, and the port 3389 is binded, then you can use Remote Desktop.
